Yesterday the 66'notch, went to get a Dutch Roadlicense!

It get's new licenseplates next week! now just a fresh MOT...

Went to the 'Keverdag (Bugday) North Holland' last Sunday...

It was HOT! (because of the temperature) so we didn't stay too long....

What a great weekend we had!

The Weather stayed mostly dry, and there was enough food, drink, and fun to kill a horse, so not a lot of pictures this time. (due to copius amounts of alcohol)







It was great, now back to the 65' and fixing the clutch before Le Bugshow @ Spa!!

Almost done, almost there.

These days it seems, that i'm only working on the 65' and that i never get to drive it for a while....

Well i'm done with that, and starting this weekend i'm just going to drive it and do some occasional maintenance on it...well that's the plan anyway.

No pictures for now, but that will change after this weekend.

Due to a 'thumping' sound, i've decided to swap the engine out for a Mint 34HP 'Industry' Engine....

So i had to take the Bug out, to chill out haha...

Splittin' Headache, still some progress...

Woke up with a splittin' headache this morning, but i was still up for some pre-MOT(APK) maintenance on the 65' (still no MOT?? holy crap dude!)

Also replaced one steeringrod, still have to do the brakes and replace one more steeringrod....hmmmm....where's the Sun when you need it.

p.s. it's pretty useless posting this, i know, but it's also a referenceguide for myself......and well....BLAH!

Gone shoppin'

So....i had to buy some stuff for the bug, and i had to pick up some stuff i bought online, and i had the day off.

So i thought, why not drive all the way across The Netherlands to pick up all the stuff i had to collect anyway.....so i did.

And look what i found:

I got some other stuff as well, but i thought the old Beercrate was a pretty cool find!

Fun in the Sun!

Yesterday we went Cruisin' with some 60 more Bugs/Buses/Kubels and other Aircooled Classics, through the scenic 'Bollenstreek' near the Coast.

It was a very nice day out, the weather was geat, the cars where cool, and we had some good fun!

Now it's back to the garage for some repairs, to get the Bug ready for it's MOT (APK).....let's hope we get it done in time :-|

Wrecking the Type 3 part II

Even my girlfriend helped out this weekend (she should, it's going to be her ride haha)

Removed the windows, and all the window trim!
And guess what, NO ROT! it's all hard as nails!!!!

This might turn out to be a pretty cool project!

Wrecked some parts on the 'Rotback' yesterday..

Finally found some time to work on the 68' Notch(rot)back..

Tried to get it to run, but the Startermotor didn't seem to work, tried to disconnect it and managed to wreck one of the bolts....well after testing it seemed to be busted anyway, so ill have to get a new one no matter what.

I'm slowly getting excited about this one....slowly.

A co-worker got some presents for me today, her husband works at Volkswagen and he managed to score some 'goodies' for me!

Yesssss....

After a slight mixup with my Internet provider, i'm finally back online again, and updating my blog!

Last Sunday was the first edition of Aircooled Sundays @ The Waerdse Tempel in Heerhugowaard, and what a great first edition it was!
The Weather was not very nice, so i thought there would be no visitors at all.
But we managed to get 50+ cars on the day itself!!!
And i would like to thank every single one of them, cause it was great to see them all there!!
